Michael "Mike" Paolucci Jr. of Broomall, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Mike was born and raised in South Philadelphia and graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1962. He continued his education at Temple University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 1966. He served in the United States Army as a hospital medic from 1967 to 1969 and served in the Army Reserves until 1972.After the Army, Mike worked for the Principal Financial Group for 35 years and became the first executive of the company not based at their headquarters in Des Moines, IA. After his retirement, Mike worked part-time at Videon Funeral Home in Broomall and then as the Executive Director for the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy.Mike was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and was a past president of the LAM Valley Forge Lodge # 1776 Sons & Daughters of Italy. As a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, you could always find Mike either sitting in front of the TV watching his favorite teams or he would be there in person cheering them on, especially his beloved Eagles as a season ticket holder for 59 years. If he wasn't enjoying a sporting event, Mike loved relaxing at his home in Ocean City, NJ with his family.Mike was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Mater Dei Council 4129 in Newtown Square, PA and also served on the parish counsel and as an usher at St. Anastasia Parish for many years.Mike is preceded in death by his parents Michael Sr. and Mary (nee Stango) Paolucci.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Marie (nee McCarren) and their four children, Michael III (Susan), Nicole Nelson (Dan), Marie Murphy (Todd) and Monica Smith (Greg). He was a very proud grandfather to his nine grandchildren - Ryan, Michael IV, Gabrielle, J.J., Gavin, Joseph, Andrew, Camryn and Avery. Also many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and Friends are invited to join us in celebrating his life on Sunday, September 20 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M at the LOGAN-VIDEON FUNERAL HOME, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA and Monday, September 21 from 9:30 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. at St. Anastasia Church. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, September 21 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
