Carol Ann Vowler (nee Jackson), a resident of Springfield for over 50 years, went home to be with her Lord on November 10, 2020 at the age 76.  The daughter of Wilhelmina (nee Neely) and Samuel Jackson, Carol was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Palmyra High School in New Jersey.  At Palmyra, she was a member of the Honor Society and played the clarinet in the band and orchestra. She was employed as a business administrator at the former Holiday Inn in Essington for many years, but retired from the Shipley School as the office administrator for the Lower School in 2001.  Carol was a 50+ year member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Springfield, where she had served with the United Methodist Women.

She married James H. Vowler in November of 1963, and they just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her brother Thomas, sisters Nancy DeSautel, and Mariann Stewart, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Everyone who knew her, loved her.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at Covenant United Methodist Church, 212 W Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, after the present COVID-19 outbreak has passed and it is once again safe for all to gather in worship.

Arrangements will be updated as we move forward.
