Obituary for Edna I. Pettit

Edna I. Pettit, went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2018, age 84 of Ellenton, Florida, formerly of Broomall. Born In Philadelphia and graduated from Kensington High School for Girls. She She was first employed at Quaker City Iron Works and then went to work at Robinson & Robinson Brokerage, where she retired from in 1968 as the Office Manager. She was a member of the former Belmont Baptist Church (now New Hope Christian Church) in Broomall until she and her late husband moved to Florida many years ago. She had volunteered down at Harlee Manor as assistant Activities Director, once moving to Florida, where she loved the beach and Florida weather, she served as Treasurer at the Ridgewood Oaks Retirement Community
She was the wife of the late Robert R. Pettit, Jr., whom she married in 1954 and who passed away on July 8, 2013 in Florida. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Robert Patrick) Schumaker of Broomall, grandchildren Aaron and Ava Schumaker, a niece Vicky Colonna her sisters Carol and Bert. She was predeceased by her siblings Mabel, Margie and David.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the New Hope Christian Church, Sproul and Paxon Hollow Rds., Broomall, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc., 4350 Westmont Dr., Charlotte, NC 28217
